OB Clinic

The Antelope Valley Medical Center OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic provides care for the women of the Antelope Valley and surrounding communities. We offer prenatal care to expectant mothers through clinical evaluation and services. Our OB clinic team consists of qualified OB physicians, certified midwives, certified lactation consultants, and registered nurse diabetes educators. This multi-disciplinary care team is equipped to provide the treatment needed to ensure your pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible. Our team will do all we can to ensure both mom and baby are healthy and happy. Our professionals will assist you with planning and preparing for your baby's birth and for life after your baby is born.

    Gynecology

    The Antelope Valley Medical Center Gynecology Clinic offers a wide range of women’s health services, including preventative exams. An annual exam could save you from future health complications and help you develop good overall health habits.

    Our gynecological services include:

    • Pelvic exam
    • Breast exams
    • Pap smear
    • STD testing

    Every Woman Counts Program

    Antelope Valley Medical Center is part of the Every Woman Counts program, providing free breast screenings, cervical cancer tests, and follow-up services to eligible California women. As women age, especially after 50, the chance of getting breast and cervical cancer goes up. Women should be screened regularly for breast and cervical cancer by a doctor.

    The Every Woman Counts program offers the following free services:

    • Clinical breast exams and mammograms to women age 40 years and older
    • Breast cancer testing to women with symptoms under 40 years
    • Pap tests to women age 21 years and older
    • Pap & HPV co-testing to women age 30 years and older
    • Follow-up tests if needed

    Do I Qualify for the Every Woman Counts Program?

    To qualify for this free program, you must:

    • Live in California
    • Meet the age requirements
    • Have no or limited health insurance
    • Have health insurance with a co-payment or deductible you cannot afford
    • Have a low household income

    Family Planning

    The Antelope Valley Medical Center OB Clinic offers men and women education, counseling, and treatment services through our Family Planning program. Family Planning (FP) is having the desired number of children and when you want to have them by using safe and effective modern methods.

    Family PACT

    Family PACT is a program that provides no-cost family planning services. Women, men, and teens able to become pregnant or cause a pregnancy can get Family PACT services if they are low-income California residents.

    Family PACT can help you:

    • Prevent an unplanned pregnancy
    • Protect your reproductive health by helping you take care of yourself so that you can have a healthy baby when you are ready
    • Find out about various birth control methods.
    • Protect yourself from sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
