Prevention is the vaccine for the disease of injury. Effective injury prevention occurs through education; enactment and enforcement of laws; engineering; or economic incentives or penalties. This requires that public safety agencies collaborate where possible for best results for the community. Antelope Valley Hospital is actively working with the school systems and community organizations to help educate the public about trauma prevention.
